Crave continues to deliver weekly alerts highlighting new and noteworthy programming and scheduling changes for the week ahead.

Highlights This Week

• Yes, honey! The inaugural season of CANADA’S DRAG RACE is finally here (premiering tonight, Thursday, July 2, at 9 p.m. ET), and is set to have viewers clutching their royal pearls as 12 of the fiercest queens in the land showcase their Canadian Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent to compete to become Canada’s First Drag Superstar. With Snatch Game, Rumail, the reading challenge, puppets, makeovers, and gag-worthy untucked sessions, CANADA’S DRAG RACE serves up fan-favourites from RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE, but with a dash of maple-flavoured Canadian realness. Each episode tests the queens’ talents, and challenges them to master singing, dancing, acting, impersonation, costume making, and improvisation.

• All episodes of SHOWTIME’s five-part documentary series OUTCRY premiere on Sunday, July 5. Produced and directed by Emmy^® winner, Pat Kondelis (DISGRACED), the series examines the gripping story of high school football star Greg Kelley. In 2014, Kelley was convicted of the sexual assault of a four-year-old boy, and sentenced to 25 years in prison with no possibility for parole. Set in Leander, Texas, the series follows Kelley’s fall from grace and the groundswell of support that subsequently emerged, calling into question the investigation, the prosecution's tactics and ultimately, the validity of the conviction.

• The Oscar^®-winning film FORD VS FERRARIstarring Matt Damon and Christian Bale begins streaming on Friday, July 3. Directed by James Mangold, the film follows American car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) as they battle corporate interference and the laws of physics to build a revolutionary race car for Ford in order to defeat Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.

What Critics Are Saying about Crave’s I’LL BE GONE IN THE DARK:

“I’ll Be Gone in the Dark Is a Riveting Story of Murder and Grief”

“HBO’s true crime series, based on the book by Patton Oswalt’s late wife, Michelle McNamara, illuminates not just the horrific Golden State Killer but also the love story between a brilliant writer and her husband.”  -   Haven Kimmel, Vanity Fair

“The promise of Liz Garbus’s series lies in the incompleteness of McNamara’s story as much as it does the particulars of the Golden State Killer file”

“It’s a memoir as much as it is a mystery, detailing McNamara’s life and work alongside the facts of the monster known here as the East Area Rapist/Original Night Stalker […]”  -   Scott Tobias, Vulture

“What this work demonstrates, as it ruefully examines the life of a talented writer whose quest for perfection appeared to play a role in her end, is that some mysteries resist the solving.”

“That this documentary attempts no such grandeur, seeking to explicate without ever cracking its case, is the mark of its conditional but real success.” -  Daniel D’Addario, Variety
