Crave continues to deliver weekly alerts highlighting new and noteworthy programming and scheduling changes for the week ahead.

Highlights This Week

• The Oscar^®-winning film JOJO RABBIT begins streaming on Saturday, August 1. Written and directed by Taika Waititi (THOR: RAGNAROK), JOJO RABBIT is a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy named Jojo (Roman Griffin Davis) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism. After making its world premiere at TIFF 2019 where it received the Grolsh People’s Choice Award, the film went on to snag a Best Picture nomination and win Best Adapted Screenplay at the 2020 Academy Awards.

• THE GO-GO’S, a new documentary from SHOWTIME, premieres on Friday July 31, at 9 p.m. ET. As the first multi-platinum-selling, all-female band to play their own instruments, write their own songs and soar to No. 1 on the album charts, the Go-Go's are the most successful female rock band of all time. Underpinned by candid testimonies from The Go-Go's past and present, this documentary chronicles the meteoric rise to fame of a band born of the LA punk scene that not only captured but created a zeitgeist.

• An all-new episode of CANADA’S DRAG RACE drops on Thursday, July 30 at 9 p.m. ET. This week, Snatch Game, the iconic star-studded celebrity impersonation game show, makes its Canadian debut, as the queens do their best to snatch the judge’s attention. Canadian actress and comedian Mary Walsh (THIS HOUR HAS 22 MINUTES) joins judges Brooke Lynn Hytes, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, and Stacey McKenzie as this week’s special guest host.

What Critics Are Saying about Crave’s I MAY DESTROY YOU:

“The creator and star of ‘I May Destroy You’ on revolutionizing TV, celebrating Black girl friendship, and cardigan conspiracy theories.”

“When I May Destroy You debuted in June, it was greeted with immediate praise. It is, undoubtedly, one of the best new shows of the year, unflinching in the way it reimagines narratives for victims of sexual assault on television [...] At the same time, it’s also one of HBO’s funniest new shows.”
- Ashley Ray-Harris, ELLE

“HBO’s “I May Destroy You” is a flippant, fun, young British comedy [...]”

“Incredibly, “I May Destroy You” still manages to laugh, and get laughs, thanks to Coel’s undeniable knack for finding comedy in the darkest places. It’s a brave effort that dares to pair humor with intense, difficult subject matter. The result is a series that’s as intimate and authentic as it is topical and necessary.”
- Lorraine Ali, Los Angeles Times
