How iHeartRadio Stations in the Maritimes Are Supporting Their Communities During COVID-19

iHeartRadio

iHeartRadio Canada stations continue to thank local businesses and community heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic, spreading hope and encouragement to the frontline and essential workers as well as every Canadian isolating at home.

Here are some of the initiatives iHeartRadio Canada stations are taking support communities within Nova Scotia and New Brunswick:

Nova Scotia

  • Recognizing the incredible people within their community who are going above and beyond to help others in this difficult time, C100, Virgin Radio Halifax, 100.9 BIG DOG, and Pure Country 99.5 are welcoming listeners to nominate heroes for on-air shout outs to let them know how much their work is appreciated.
  • C100 and Virgin Radio Halifax have launched Feed The Need in Halifax, a charitable campaign encouraging listeners and community members to donate to Feed Nova Scotia.
  • Encouraging listeners to buy local, 100.9 BIG DOG and Pure Country 99.5 are sharing where people can find offers from some of their favourite local companies on iHeartRadio.ca.

New Brunswick

  • Similar to Nova Scotia, iHeartRadio stations in New Brunswick have launched several campaigns to highlight their community heroes, including The Fox 105.3’s Everyday Champions, and 106.9 Capital FM, K93, CJ104, MAX 104.9, and Pure Country 103.5’s Everyday Heroes campaigns. Inviting listeners to nominate someone going above and beyond during this time, each nominee is given a shout out on air throughout the week as a thank you for all that they are doing to help the community.
  • Further encouraging listeners to support local, The Fox 105.3, 106.9 Capital FM, CJ104, MAX 104.9, and Pure Country 103.5 are also highlighting the many businesses still open with Buy Local webpages on iHeartRadio.ca.

In addition, iHeartRadio Canada is keeping listeners entertained with newly announced series including, IHEART LIVING ROOM SESSIONS and IHEART STORYTIME, along with the IHEART RADIO FAMILY content hub and LIFT channel, all available on iHeartRadio.ca and the iHeartRadio app.
